EFILive V7.5

Calibration Updates:

Dodge Cummins

·         None.

GM Gas

·         E82 - initial support for 2017 trucks & updates to existing operating systems.

GM Diesel

·         E98 - Updated support for 2017+.

Known Issues:

·         When opening a tune file from Windows Explorer, either by double clicking on it or right-clicking and selecting “Open” and the file cannot be opened for any reason, then no error message is displayed and the file is not loaded. To view the error that prevents the file from being opened, first start the Tune Tool software, then attempt to open the tune file; the error will then be displayed normally.

Enhancements:

·         Beta warning message now has a "Do not show this warning again." option.

·         Added segment part number and checksum comparisons when comparing two tune files.

·         Added E47 PIDs: EOP_ABS, EOP_REL, O2S_FT and O2S_FTSTAT

Bug Fixes:

·         Fixed incorrect scaling for some controllers during pass-thru logging for PIDs: SAE.MAP, SAE.MAF, SAE.EQ_RAT and the SAE wide band PIDs: SAE.WO2S11 thru SAE.WO2S24.

·         Script playback was crashing when running a script that referenced calibrations that were not visible on the target PC. For example: emissions calibrations that may not be visible on US based software installations.

EFILive V8

Known Issues:

·         When logging DMA PIDs (i.e. PIDs whose names end with "_M" or "_DMA"), if the ignition is switched off for an extended period while data logging but data logging is not terminated, then when the ignition is switched on again the data log automatically continues. However the DMA PIDs may no longer return valid data.

Workaround: EFILive recommends stopping the data log and restarting the data log when switching off the ignition for extended periods.

·         When Black Box Logging PIDs from an ECM and TCM simultaneously and a PID is selected from the transmission controller (TCM) that has an identically named PID in the engine controller (ECM), (i.e. RPM) then when the log file is opened in the V8 software for viewing, the TCM PID will be displayed as if it originated from the ECM. The PID's data will have correctly been logged from the TCM, only its name will appear to indicate that it was logged from the ECM.

Workaround: None. It is a restriction of the *.efi (V7.5 log file format). That restriction will be removed and the TCM PIDs will display their true origin once the V8 scan tool software is available.

Enhancements:

·         Updated scanning support (DMA PIDs) for E41.

·         Beta warning message now has a "Do not show this warning again." option.

·         Added a "Copy Complete" message to notify the user when quick setup files have been successfully programmed onto an AutoCal or FlashScan device.

·         Corrected support for scaling for generic PIDs: MAP, MAF, EQRATO and WO2Sxx when loading *.efi files into the V8 scan tool.

Bug Fixes:

·         Fixed incorrect scaling for some controllers during pass-thru logging for PIDs: SAE.MAP, SAE.MAF, SAE.EQ_RAT and the SAE wide band PIDs: SAE.WO2S11 thru SAE.WO2S24.

·         Fixed DTC codes not displaying correctly when loading a V7 *.efi scan file into V8.

·         Fixed [F4: OBD] controller name/type headers not displaying correctly .

·         Some EGT PIDs had units of ° instead of °C.

·         Added PID validation option for E41 controller.

·         Fixed "Access Violation" error when viewing/editing calculated PIDs after closing and re-opening the scan tool window.

·         Fixed "Range Error" when selecting calculated PIDs that do not contain any executable script/code.

FlashScan/AutoCal

Known Issues:

However the DMA PIDs may no longer return valid data. EFILive recommends stopping the data log and restarting the data log when switching off the ignition for extended periods.
